An invitation to innovative gardening, "Aoki's Gardening Method." This is the second collection of works on Aoki's unique gardening method, which expresses planting techniques as art, and goes one step further than Seibundo Shinkosha's previous publications "Planting Gathering Technique Book" (2015) and "Planting Gathering Method" (2017).
Hideo Aoki started his journey from cut flowers to gardening in 1997, and at first encountered many difficulties in his pursuit of long-lasting and beautiful flowers. However, he did not give up, and even as an amateur, he established his own unique methods and overcame each obstacle one by one. Although there were many hardships in the early days, his perseverance paid off by being personally involved in the cultivation and improvement of flower seedlings.
The wall baskets that Hideo Aoki started are 80cm in diameter, and are both overwhelmingly large and artistic, and he continued to test his techniques by participating in local contests. However, because Aoki's gardening methods differ from those of traditional organizations and traditional methods, he had differences of opinion with the Japan Hanging Basket Association, of which he had been a member for a time, and left the association in 2003.
Since then, Aoki's research has deepened and he has relied on flower seedling growers to produce many new flower seedlings and foliage plants that have become an integral part of Aoki's horticultural methods. Those who have studied with him have benefited greatly from his work, and his students are committed to further developing Aoki's methods.
This new book was produced by Aoki himself and his dedicated students, including current students, disciples, and graduates, and is imbued with their firm belief in the continuation and development of Aoki-style horticultural techniques.
Looking to the future rather than back to the past, Aoki's gardening methods have been faithfully promoted, and his methods have been imitated by many people and spread to the market. However, the belief of Aoki's gardening methods is to support growers and improve horticulture from the ground up, which is the essence of his gardening methods, the Aoki gardening methods.
Hideo Aoki and his students continue to research new techniques. The future is the future, the past is the past. The Aoki method of gardening will continue to evolve. That is his belief, and the core of this book.
