Photography: Yoko Sakamaki
The definitive Akita dog calendar!
Rugged features and heartwarming moments between parent and pup
A long-selling Akita dog calendar that has been in production for over five years. Photographed by Yoko Sakamaki, an editor, writer, and photographer based in France who lives in Normandy with Akita dogs, as well as cats, horses, and sheep. These are brand-new shots by the photographer, also known for books such as "Akita Dog Parent and Child."
From their sturdy limbs, fluffy coats, and curled tails to heartwarming interactions between parent and child, and the innocence of the puppies, each dog featured each month has been carefully selected for its pedigree.
With its large square format, it will brighten up your living or dining room. It includes the previous and next months for easy planning, and its practicality is enhanced by the inclusion of six-day Buddhist calendar (rokuyo), the 24 solar terms, traditional seasonal dates, and moon phases.
