Elegant decorative ears, like a butterfly spreading its wings
The Papillon is a new addition to our popular annual dog breed calendar series. The photos were taken by Takeshi Iwai, an animal photographer based in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, who also writes for pet-related magazines and books. He has specially photographed each subject for this calendar.
From their decorative ears, like butterflies spreading their wings, to their light, bouncy steps and adorable poses, each carefully selected Papillon, chosen for its pedigree, appears monthly, conveying their charm, a blend of elegance and vivacity.
The large square photos will brighten up any living or dining room. With previous and next month displays, planning is easy. Its practicality is also a highlight, including rokuyō (six days of the week), the twenty-four solar terms, zassetsu (miscellaneous seasonal days), and phases of the moon.
