The popular cockatiel calendar is back again this year. The photos are by Ayako Hachisu, who studied at Santa Monica College and The Arts University in the US. She is a photographer who specializes in capturing the charm and atmosphere of her subjects, from animal photography of birds and dogs to handicrafts and lifestyles.
From their red cheeks and perky crests to moments lost in preening and playing with twigs in their mouths, each gesture is adorable, and the different feather colors of each breed are also highlighted, making for a year full of charm.
