The photos were taken by Toshihiko Igawa, a freelance photographer who primarily photographs small animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters, and who also holds a Class 1 Pet Animal Care and Management qualification. This calendar features his exclusive new photographs.
From curled tails, profiles looking straight ahead, playful scenes in fields and around flowers, to heartwarming parent-child interactions. Each month features a carefully selected dog with a focus on pedigree, conveying the dignified presence unique to Japanese dogs.
Though small, the content is substantial. It includes rokuyo (six-day week), the twenty-four solar terms, miscellaneous festivals, and the phases of the moon. At an affordable price, it also makes a great small gift.
