With a space-saving design that's only 32cm tall when displayed, this calendar can be placed on your desk, in the kitchen, at the entrance, or anywhere a large calendar might be inconvenient. The photos were taken by Toshihiko Igawa, a freelance photographer whose main subjects are small animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters. He is also a certified Grade 1 Pet Animal Care Manager.
From their playful running to their relaxed expressions on a futon, this calendar captures the diverse fur types—smooth, long, and wire-haired—as well as the variety of coat colors. Each carefully selected purebred dog appears monthly.
Though small, it's packed with content, including rokuyo (auspicious and inauspicious days), the 24 solar terms, zassetsu (miscellaneous days), and moon phases. Its affordable price makes it an excellent small gift.
