■Astronomical observation and photography in Saipan Saipan was once a place for casual overseas expeditions. In the days when it was a dream to see the Southern Cross, Saipan was the top choice of expedition destinations, especially when Halley's Comet approached the Earth. While winter approaches Japan and observation becomes difficult due to the cold, Saipan enters its dry season (November to May) and the weather is stable. On the other hand, Okinawa, which is considered warmer in Japan, has unstable weather and is not sunny, making it unsuitable for astronomical observation. Therefore, we will introduce Saipan, which has good public safety and low prices, as a recommended expedition destination for observation and photography in the winter. In addition, we will introduce celestial objects that are difficult to observe and photograph in Japan because they are low in the sky, photographed with a smart telescope.

■Star Trip to Waddy Farm in Western Australia - Part 2 -
Waddy Farm in Western Australia is a famous expedition destination for amateur astrophotographers, who often win prizes in our magazine's "Reader's Astrophotography Contest." This spring, many astrophotographers made expeditions to the Southern Hemisphere to take astronomical photographs. So this month, as in the previous month, we will introduce the astronomical images taken by veteran astronomers, along with the photographic equipment they brought to Waddy Farm.

■The "Star Literary Man: The Universe of Nojiri Hoei" Exhibition Commemorating the 140th Anniversary of the Birth of Nojiri HoeiThe Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum in Yokohama is holding the "Star Literary Man: The Universe of Nojiri Hoei" exhibition to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the birth of Nojiri Hoei, who spoke of the romance of the starry sky as a "star literary man." Nojiri Hoei is still loved by many fans, and the exhibition features his exquisite essays and materials related to the collection of Japanese names for stars. We will introduce the exhibition, which allows you to feel the expanse of the stars and universe depicted by Hoei through books on stars, including literature from ancient and modern times, the East and the West, and folklore.
