The third book features whimsical and adorable cats made with yarn pom-poms.
From American Shorthairs, British Shorthairs, Abyssinians, Sphynxes, and Bombays to long-haired Persians such as chinchillas and Himalayans, curly-haired Selkirk Rexes, droopy-eared Scottish Folds, and even calico, rusty, and tabby Japanese cats.
This book contains instructions on how to make 33 creations, including 30 cats, mice, and two types of tails.
To make it, first wrap the thread around the tool to create the base of the pom-pom.
Next, cut out the pieces to create the shape of the face, score them, attach a mouth using wool felt, make ears and stick them onto the face of the main body.
Finally, make whiskers with fishing line and insert them into the muzzle to complete the look.
You can display your finished creation in your room, or use it as a key chain, hair tie, brooch, or something to take with you when you go out.
All cats can be made using almost the same process, so once you learn the tricks, you can apply them to other projects.
Depending on how it is cut, where the eyes are placed, and the shape and placement of the ears, the shape and expression of the face can vary.
The appearance of the finished cat will vary depending on who makes it, but this is the real joy of making pompoms.
